Track your local government meetings/agendas all in one place

City of Durham

Andrew Branch Avatar

From the Editor: This page provides the public information you need to keep up with your local government. We need more hands to be able to regularly post updates/reporting.

City has a robust notifications system, including when agendas are posted. Take advantage.

Public records are accessible, for both new requests and searching 3700+ current/former requests. Applies to all departments, including police. Additional data sites here & here.

Regular meetings are 1st & 3rd Mondays at 7 p.m. Written, virtual, or in-person comment available. Virtual sign-up by 2 p.m. on day of meeting, from link at top of agenda. In-person sign-up by 2 p.m. by phone (919-560-4166) or in-person with City Clerk.

Informal work sessions are usually Thursdays at 1 p.m. They have their own public comment rules. Most appropriate for general/non-agenda comments, for which citizens must request to speak and may upload documents 10 days prior.

The city council & public hearing calendar is on the sidebar. Additional committees, though, are often not absent of worldview implications, often on Zoom, and often invite participation. Consider the Equity & Inclusion Department. See calendar website to ensure accuracy.
