The Durham Board of County Commissioners holds work sessions on the first Monday of each month (except July) beginning at 9 a.m. and regular sessions on the second and fourth Mondays of each month beginning at 7 p.m. (Regular sessions may begin earlier). Work sessions are where general public comment takes place.

Public Comment
Virtual Rules: All speakers must submit their full name and address via email or telephone to the Clerk to the Board at clerk@dconc.gov or 919-560-0025. These submissions usually have a deadline a couple of days prior to the meeting.
In-Person Regular Session Rules: Fill out Public Comments (Agenda Items only) form to submit to clerk prior to meeting.
In-Person Work Session Rules: Fill out Citizen Comments form to submit to clerk prior to meeting.
- At work sessions, commissioners may engage in back and forth with commenters. The board requests if commenter desires an immediate response that the clerk be notified two weeks in advance to allow for commissioners inform themselves on an issue.
