EARLIER: District 4 vacancy interviews to take place Tuesday
The Wake County Public School System Board of Education will meet on Tuesday at noon for interviews to fill its vacant District 4 seat.
Tara Waters left the Board in January to take a vacant seat on the Wake County Board of Commissioners, following the death of a commissioner.
The term of the appointment could be short, as the seat is open in the November 2024 election.
